(Chlorodehydromethylandrostenediol-CDMA) is a derivative of the anabolic steroid testosterone. Halodrol bears a striking structural resemblance to another anabolic steroid known as Turinabol (Chlorodehydromethyltestosterone). Often referred to as Oral Turinabol, T-bol or OT, its an altered version of the legendary Dianabol (D-bol). Both Halodrol and T-bol possess much lower androgenic activity levels than Dianabol, along with a better balanced ratio between anabolic and androgenic effects. Consequently, they both provide noticeable increases in quality lean muscle, as opposed to D-bols bloated muscle development.

Halodrol Form:
Halodrol along with its present and former over-the-counter (OTC) chemical cousins like Methyl-1-Testosterone, Superdrol, 1-AD, and numerous others falls into the grey prescription drug/OTC supplement area.

Although they all generate genuine steroidal results (actions and effects), they were never FDA approved for, or sold as a prescription medications. Originally released by Gaspari Nutrition in tablet form as an OTC sports nutrition supplement, Halodrol was later laboratory tested and proven to have anabolic and androgenic numbers equivalent to those of a legitimate steroid. Oddly, it was never added to any of the anabolic controlled substances lists. Nevertheless, Gaspari eventually removed it from the market, and remarketed a similar (but steroid free) product under the name Halodrol Liquigels.

Halodrol Indications/Purpose:
For bodybuilding/athletic purposes Halodrol increases testosterone levels which induce substantial increases in bodily shape and size, largely due to its ability to increase your number of muscle fibers. The most obvious physical effects will be greater muscle strength and size, improved vascularity, and aggressive muscular pumps. These benefits alone make Halodrol a formidable androgen, but it also encompasses other traditional steroid properties like: increased red blood cell (RBC) production; improved endurance during exercise via better lactic acid clearing; enhanced oxygen and nutrient delivery to working muscles for greater endurance; better muscle glycogen restoration after exercise for faster recovery and; the inhibition of catabolism (muscle destruction).

Gains from Halodrol generally take a few weeks to notice, and its recommended dosage is 100-150 mg/day as a stand-alone compound, and 50-100 mg/day when stacked within a steroid cycle. Halodrols average cycle length is 4-6 weeks, and because of its 17-alpha alkylated (a modification that permits the drug to pass through the liver and into the bloodstream without being deactivated, thereby making it effective for oral administration) property it possesses a high level of hepatotoxicity (liver toxicity), thus more than 8 weeks of continuous administration is not recommended.

Halodrol Side Effects:
Again similar to OT, Halodrol produces zero aromatization, so you can expect to be free from estrogenic side effects (those due to increases in estrogen estradiol, prolactin, progesterone or progestin) which generally include increased water retention, body fat gain, and gynecomastia (actually due to the testosterone to estrogen ratio imbalance).

Androgenic side effects, those having to do with male sexual characteristics, occur due to elevated testosterone levels which are likely to produce oily skin, acne, body/facial hair growth, and testicular atrophy (temporary reduction in the size of your testicles). Androgen drug use of any kind is also known to accelerate balding, but only in men with a genetic predisposition for hair loss. In other words, if youre losing or going to lose your hair then testosterone supplementation can speed up the process, but it is never the primary cause of hair loss.

Your liver and testosterone production may also be affected by Halodrol usage. Since its 17-alpha alkylated (a modification that permits the drug to pass through the liver and into the bloodstream without being deactivated, thereby making it effective for oral administration) and therefore hepatotoxic (liver toxic), along with its high potency, Halodrol warrants a high recommendation for the use of liver detoxification supplements.

Synthetic testosterone and several other steroids, including nandrolones will shut down natural production altogether. A mere 100 mgs per week of either of these takes about 5-6 weeks to cause this shut down, 250-500 mgs shuts you down by the second week, and it takes roughly a month to return those testosterone levels to baseline. Although Halodrol may not be androgenic enough to promote shut down, it will definitely suppress natural testosterone production.
